A brief history of Sang des Cailloux
In 1990, Serge Férigoule acquires Sang des Cailloux 10 years after working with the previous owner. He stopped using chemical weedkillers and synthetic products, anything that could be harmful to the vines. The estate covers an area of 17 hectares, in Vacqueyras appellation and is located on a plateau facing the Dentelles de Montmirail. He was joined in 2003 by his son Frédéric, and together they decided to certify the estate as organic and biodynamic. The terroir is brown clay-limestone. reddish with its rolled pebbles. They mainly produce red wine, but in recent years they've also tried their hand at white wine.
